The items in this historical-maritime art collection are exceptional, and the best examples of it are a ship's wooden putto decorative figure from the 18th century, as well as a stern inscription from the ship La providenza divina (Italian: Divine Providence), also from the 18th century. Among the exhibited figureheads - decorative statues mounted on the ship’s bow - the figure of a man and a woman from the bow of 19th-century sailing ships from Korčula stands out.

The exhibited letters of the name of the ship REX can certainly be counted among the most attractive items for the public. These three cast iron letters of the Italian transatlantic liner, holder of the blue ribbon, are the most frequently borrowed items from the Museum’s holdings for large foreign exhibitions.

The collection also includes other ornaments that used to decorate ships, such as the coats of arms of the cities after which certain warships were named.
