Seafarers made use of a whole variety of equipment on their journeys. The Museum's holdings, therefore, contain numerous useful objects, from 17th-century lanterns to 19th-century ship's lamps, anchors of various shapes, hand-woven rope fenders, wooden water tanks and buckets, equipment for sewing sails, cleats as well as everyday items such as dishes, and lifebuoys. Seafarers, who frequently visit the Museum, stand with special reverence in front of the exhibited lifebuoy from the motor ship "Tisa", which sank in 1965 near the island of Crete, taking with it 17 souls.

As major components of ship equipment, the reserve command post from the destroyer R-11 "Split" should definitely be highlighted, as well as the hook, pulley and ship's screw of the "Veli Jože" naval crane, which are exhibited as part of the external display.
